Moving Abroad
The problem with moving abroad is that, in many ways, you lose the ability to move back home. And, honestly, you may not even want to.
Once you’ve lived in another country, your perspective on life shifts. You see the world differently, and in doing so, you no longer feel like you truly belong to the place you once called ‘home.’ The sense of familiarity fades, and the ties that once anchored you to your roots loosen. And yet, creating a new ‘home’ is complicated. You’re always trying to fit in, to adapt, to understand. But fitting in isn’t the same as belonging.
It’s a strange paradox: you no longer fit into the old version of home, but you don’t quite fit into the new one, either. At times, it feels as though you’ve lost your sense of belonging altogether.
When this happens, the best thing you can do is turn inward. Seek comfort in your inner being. Your inner self becomes the spark that reignites your authenticity. It’s the part of you that hasn’t changed, no matter where you are in the world. It’s where you find the courage to be yourself again.
